Pom Wichian Chotikaram Temple

Mahachai Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon.

 

Pom Wichian Chotikaram Temple Villagers are often called "Wat Ban Pom" is located on the banks of the Thachien river where is next to the Fort Wichian Chodok. This temple is another ancient temple of Samut Sakhon province, but there is no conclusive evidence that it was built in any year. Only assumed that should be built in the late Ayutthaya period around 2323 B.E., receiving royal privileges around 2328 B.E., and consecrated around 2330 B.E. Pom Wichian Chotikaram Temple has been continuously developed. Until being elevated to be a royal temple when the year 2539 B.E. The area of the temple Is the address of the Raman community which came to rely on the Royal Bodhisattva in Thailand, where the Raman people are strictly Buddhism. So, when living together as a community, therefore built a temple to be a place for performing Buddhist rituals.

Sanlugmuang Samut Sakorn, Samut Sakhon

The construction of Sanlugmuang Samut Sakorn or Chao Po Vichian Chot was completed in 1987. It is a house with a Chinese style roof. It is situated near Vichian Chodok Fortress. This shrine is the sacred place that people worship and it is also the center of fishermen in the province.

Mahachai-Tha Chalom ferry port, Samut Sakhon

This is important port for local people that can cross the bank to Tha Chalom Subdistrict. There is Mahachai Market is a famous fresh market in Samut Sakhon Province where is located on the banks of the Tha Chin river and near to Wichian Chodok fort, City Pillar Shrine and Samut Sakhon City Hall. There is a clock tower, a pier, a place to tell places. There is a train station used to travel to Bangkok. That is the Mahachai - Wongwian Yai line, there is a pier, there is a van terminal on the side of the provincial town hall. This fresh market is a source of various seafood. There is a resting point to view the pier and the shrine of the city pillar.
