Prachinburi National Museum, Prachinburi

This archeological museum is the main museum for artifacts found in seven provinces: Prachin Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Chacherngsao, Chonburi, Chantaburi, Trad, and Rayong. There are many displays of important artifacts uncovered from ancient cities during Dvaravati Period (6th-13th centuries). Thai arts from various periods are also on display for comparative study, including artifacts found in the ocean near the island of Koh Kram in Chonburi. On special occasions, temporary exhibitions are created and put on display. The museum is located 200 meters from City Hall in Tambon Na Mueang, Amphoe Mueang. The museum is open from 9.00 am-4.00 pm from Wednesdays-Sundays, except for national holidays. Admission is 150 baht. More details are available at 0 3721 1586.

 

Abhaibhubejhr Thai Herbal Medicine Museum, Prachinburi

Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Building was established in 1909 by Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr (Chum Abhaiwong), built with the European Baroque architecture to be the reception palace for King Rama V, for his majesty should visit Prachinburi area; however, the king had passed away before. Subsequently, the building was used as the Royal Reception Hall for King Rama VI, along with other royal family. Nevertheless, the owner of this building had never used this building personally for all of his entire life. Abhaibhubejhr Building sometimes used for meeting and seminar, until the 1990 The Fine Arts Department  announced registration of Abhaibhubejhr Building as a national historic, and has been  awarded as the outstanding architecture building, from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. In 1994, the hospital then launched the project, Thai Herbal Medicine museum.  Aim to be research, study, references, and gathering Thai medicine reservation, Thai medicine, Local medicine.

Traveling to Prachinburi Province, just only 1 day by go in the morning and back in evening. But enough to have fun and enjoy the attractions such as Fourbuta Cafe ', Prachinburi National Museum, Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Building, Chom Chon Restaurant and Cha-Om Fruit Market.
