Wat Nok Pak Tale, Phetchaburi

September 07, 2018

The history is not known exactly when it was built, but in the reign of King Rama V, it appears this temple already. In the year 1904, King Chulalongkorn came to Phetchaburi.  In the Royal daily letter of activities, there was a message saying “…the afternoon departs from Phetchaburi to the residence of Tambon Ban Laem and visit Wat Nok…”, which probably refers to Wat Nok Pak Tale.

Phra Ramrajnivet Palace (Ban Peun Palace), Phetchaburi

March 20, 2019

Built in King Rama V’s reign by his personal finance to propose as the king’s seasonal palace. Its European design was modelled to The King William Kiser’s palace in Germany which designed by a German architect, Karl Dohring. The construction was begun in 1910 under the control of Prince Boriphat Sukhumphan and Prince Damrongrajanubhap. It was finished in 1916 at the time of King Rama VI. The palace’s name was changed from “Ban Peun Palace” to “Sorn Phet Prasat Throne Halland then finally to “Phra Ramrajnivet Palace” and its function was also changed to the guest-visiting hall in 1918.
