Chiang Khan is a district in Loei Province on the Mekong River with a small street along riverside that is a pedestrian and bicycling. See the Laos side and lifestyle of the people along the Mekong. In the morning to see some mist spread throughout the Mekong River, which is considered "Stream of Water…Stream of Spirit…Stream of Caring…Stream of Dharma", a legend of history, art and culture, connecting two lands. On the other side is a small street called "pedestrian street", along the street there are accommodations, restaurants, coffee shops and souvenir shops. There are 2 temples, Wat Sri Kun Mueang and Wat Tha Kok which the temple is the center of mind and tradition in Buddhist activities by in the morning, there will be monks walking with alms bowls for the villagers and tourists have the opportunity to make a merit by offering foods with a happy and joyful feeling. In the evening until night, this street will have more visitors that this street looks bustling with a cool atmosphere and entertaining.

 

 

From Loei Province of Thailand To Sainyabuli Province of Lao PDR, Loei

The cabinet approved November 18, 2546 B.E. for the construction of the Thai-Laos Friendship Nam Hueang Bridge, Border crossing Ban Na Kra Seng and Tha Li Customs House at this Friendship Thai-Laos Bridge which is located at Ban Na Kra Seng, A Hi Subdistrict, Tha Li District, Loei Province. And opened on October 28, 2547 B.E. with the agreement between the two governments designated as permanent and international checkpoints. To support and promote trade and tourism of the province of Loei (Thailand) and Sainyabuli Province (Laos) which there is trade and tourism for over 10 years now. Lao PDR has a road improvement project from Sainyabuli to the city of Luang Prabang which is the World Cultural Heritage at a distance of about 360 kilometers. It is also a gateway to various cities for trade and tourism in Laos and continue to Vietnam and China.

 

Phra Phutthabaht Phu Kwai Ngoen, Loei

Phra Phutthabaht Phu Kwai Ngoen is a very beautiful tourist destination and is a point of tourists who like historical tourism because this place has a long history. The interesting things when tourists come to visit is the long footprint of Lord Buddha on the secret stone, with a length of 120 centimeters and a width of 65 centimeters, which is considered to be a respect for the worship of people in this area. And it is believed that only people with merit will be able to come up and pay homage to this footprint. Because the path to come up here is very difficult so that just only a few people in the past can come to get to this place.

The name of Phu Lamduan is come from the name of the owner of this land, formerly named Phu Sam Thong.
